Since my childhood in
Upstate New York, I have enjoyed creating art, always with a special interest in painting. Following high school I attended
the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, where my lifelong appreciation for art was instilled by a professor
who provided guided tours of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Since that time I have earned my degree in math from the
University of Wisconsin, lived in many places around the country and raised a family. In 2004 I finally found time to
indulge my love of art. I am constantly taking photos and sketching---when I am not painting. I believe art is
a never-ending learning process, as I strive to find ways to communicate the inexpressible beauty of life.
